In 1920
a great spiritual teacher
from India received the inner
guidance to move to the West.
Showing concern that the materialism
of the West could take him
away from his inner happiness
and inner peace, he confided
in his teacher. The teacher
advised him not to be an Easterner
and not to become a Westerner
but to, "take the best
from both cultures."
In these challenging
times, we can all benefit
from employing the wisdom
of East and West.

That
spiritual teacher was
Paramhansa Yogananda.
Yogananda's disciple,
Swami
Kriyananda, has
exemplified his teacher's
message of integration
by manifesting extraordinary
leadership and success.
As an international
leader, he has founded
eight of the most successful
spiritual communities
in the world, and guided
the formation and success
of businesses within
each of those communities.
His book,
The
Art of Supportive Leadership,
is used at the
Kellogg's School of
Management.

In
authoring 90 books,
and composing over 400
pieces of music, Kriyananda's
example of creativity
is truly remarkable.
His course,
Success and Happiness
through Yoga Principles
is a timely primer for
the integration of high
ideals and practical
applications for proven
material success. As
he says, "
it
works!"
