It takes courage to find your own path in life and to follow it. You may dream of starting your own business, but how to begin? If you’re looking for encouragement towards entrepreneurship, read Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish: The inspiring stories of 25 IIM Ahmedabad graduates who chose to tread a path of their own making.

This book, written by Rashmi Bansal and published by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad CIIE (Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entreprneurship), tells the real stories of how 25 people each started with an idea and built it into a highly successful organization. The book itself has been highly successful, selling over 100,000 copies in 9 months.

Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish is now being translated into 8 languages. Tonight, Rashmi launched the Hindi translation at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon. She was joined by some entrepreneurs from the pages of her book:

  • Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and CEO,
    Info Edge India Ltd. (naukri.com, jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com, naukrigulf.com, Quadrangle)
  • Shiv Raman Dugal, Founder and Chairman,
Institute for Clinical Research in India
  • Shantanu Prakash, Founder and Managing Director,
    Educomp Solutions Ltd.

Here are their speeches. (Apologies to non-Hindi speakers–we hope to provide an English translation at some point. See also the Stay Hungry official website.)

One Response to “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish launches in Hindi”

  1. This book is a must read for “would be” or “already in it”, entrepreneurs.

Reading about folks who were batchmates at St Stephen’s and who carried on despite severe downturns was exhilarating, to say the least.

As an “in it” entrepreneur, I can testify this book is a good friend to carry along journeys and biz meetings. Inspiration like this when combined with the power of mediatation and prayer sure serves up an intoxicating cocktail.

Thanks to Harmony At Work for leading me to this not to be missed book.
